I can help as your family's advocate and assist with funeral home selection, services, casket, flowers, printed memorial cards and thank you notes, newspaper notices, transportation, and embalming. As an Independent Funeral Director, I contract with the best funeral locations in the area. Please feel free to call me at any time.
Selections
As an Independent Funeral Director, we can select the best location and
package for your needs and budget. Together we will work through the myriad
of choices and options to create a celebration of your loved one's life
and accomplishments. I will handle all scheduling and provide legal documents
you will need. I can make recommendations for locations of services, casket
selection, flowers, newspaper obituaries, transportation and more.
Choose a Memorial or Funeral Service
A gathering with the body present is a funeral service. A gathering with
the body not present is a memorial service. Choose based upon your personal
preferences and your family's wishes.
Pick your Location and Visitation
The location of a service can be a funeral home, restaurant, home or anywhere
convenient to the families. Funeral homes are often chosen as they offer
comforts not found elsewhere. During the visitation, families can opt
for an open or closed casket based on the family's preferences.
Special Personalization
Many options exist for making a viewing more personal. The most common
are a video or photo collage, music choices, even memorabilia displays.
Children can be encouraged to write a letter to the deceased, which can
be sealed in an envelope (unread) and placed in the casket for burial.
Customs
Each family's customs are different. Some families insist pall bearers
be close friends while others feel pall bearers will only be family members.
I am here to encourage and facilitate your family in honoring your own
customs and beliefs.
Body Transportation
I can handle all aspects of the removal of the remains so you know that
your loved one is in safe hands.
Embalming
I have 30 years of experience embalming and continue to do the embalming
process myself. An unknown person will not be handling your family member's
remains.
Entombment, Burial or Cremation
While many services end with burial, many families opt for entombment
in an above ground mausoleum or crypt. Cremation is a very popular option
as well. There are many choices, and the counsel of a trusted expert will
ease your decisions.
